The Office of Mayor Maryanne Kusaka, in partnership with the Office of Continuing Education and Training at Kaua’i Community College, and the U.S. Navy at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, is scheduling a community gathering on Wednesday, Sept. at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaua’i Community College Performing Arts Center.
“This will be an opportunity to come together in the spirit of remembrance and hope,” said. “We plan for the event to be simple and dignified -acknowledging a day that changed us forever as a nation.”
The color guard for the service will be provided by PMRF. The service will include remarks by the mayor, a pule provided by Kupuna Aletha Kaohi, and inspirational music courtesy of Nalani Brun, the West Kauai Choir and the Keiki’s of Punana Leo of Kauai. Seating is limited, and the service will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.
