Lisa Marie Simao of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died Aug. 1, 2002, at the age of 38.
A waitress for Joe’s on the Green, she was born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, on June 12, 1964.
She is survived by her parents: Bernard and MaryJane Simao of Kalaheo; one daughter: Marlyssa N. Vidinha of Wailua; two sisters: Lori (Melvin “Brodie”) Medeiros of Kalaheo and Lani Boldt of Honolulu; and five nieces.
Family and friends may call on Friday, Aug. 16, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. by Father Keahi.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Memorial services for Marjorie Sweeney will be held Friday, Aug. 16, at Saint Raphael’s church at 9 a.m.
Mass and burial will follow.
Ernest Silva
Ernest “Groucho” Silva of Kahului, Maui, died Aug 10, 2002, at his home at the age of 84.
A repairman with GTE Hawaiian Telephone, he was born Nov. 27, 1919, in Puunene, Maui. He was a “Life Member” of the VFW, Maui Post, and “Maui Raiders” Senior League Baseball team.
He is survived by his wife: Katherine (Rapozo) Silva of Kahului; daughters: Ann (Anthony) Estrella of Lawai, Kauai and Jean de Ville of Kaneohe, O’ahu; sons: Jeffrey Silva of Kahului and Patrick (Sharon) Silva of Kahului; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
