Custom Limo, KFD and Hana Hou each win in HGEA three-game series

Custom Limo, KFD and the Hana Hou each took wins in HGEA Mountainball League Softball during a three-game series held on Thursday.

Custom Limo tallied six runs in the sixth inning to topple Na Kolohe 9-4 in the first game of the day.

Didi Ibia allowed 12 hits and struck out two to notch the win; Norman Holt, Jr. took the loss.

Big hitters for Custom Limo: Destry Carvahlo had three singles and two RBIs; Steven Kaui had two RBIs on one triple; Sam Dias’ triple knocked in an RBI; Willie Nuivo had two singles along with his one RBI; Derek Rapozo had two singles; Wendell Gabriel had an RBI.

Big hitters for Na Kolohe: Tyrus Matsumoto had one homerun, one double and two RBIs; Scott Kouchi had two singles; Norman Holt, Jr. had two singles.

In game two, Gregg Morishige allowed just one hit before he was relieved by John Blaylock, and it led KFD to a 10-3 victory over the Nogi’s.

Marvin Mikasa took the loss for the Nogi’s.

Big hitters for KFD: Corey Sakai had three RBIs on three hits; Both Alan Saiki and Dan Hirata had two RBIs and two singles; David Bukoski had two singles and one double; Pete Caalim had two singles.

Gordon Tamura had a single, a double and an RBI.

Paris Resinto and the Hana Hou allowed 14 hits but only let five runs score to hold off Rainbow Sports Kaua’i 7-5 in the third and final game on Thursday.

Todd Yamase drove in the winning run on a sacrifice fly.

Lance Nakata took the loss for Rainbow Sports.

Big hitters for the Hana Hou: Richard Rosa had two RBIs on one single; Alan Santella had two singles and one RBI; Larry Ephan had a single and a double; Jexx Hashimoto had two singles.
