KALAHEO – Preceding Waimea B&G’s 28-17 win over the Kauai Fire Raiders for the 12-under Girls KYBA championship Saturday, Kilauea had their way with Lokahi to take the bronze podium in the league.
Kapua Chandler’s six points led Kilauea to a 13-6 win over Lokahi. Brittney Carvalho scored four points for Lokahi.
There were three more games on Saturday at Kalaheo NC Gymnasium.
In Boys 12-under action, the Westside Hornets got eight points from Braxton Garma in its 25-25 win over the Lihue T-Maxx.
Jarett Fujioka scored seven points for the T-Maxx.
In Boys 17-under basketball, Desmond Rodrigues scored 15 points to lead Waimea to a 38-23 win over the Globetrotters.
Kawika Hepa scored 11 points for the Globetrotters.
And in the second Boys 17-under game, Bryan Valencia scored 19 points to lead HB to a 61-31 win over the Lihue Shadows. Bandon Ballesteros and Kenan Guzman each scored nine points for Lihue.
