The 36-hole sectional qualifying rounds for the USGA Junior Championship is scheduled for June 20-21st at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu. The national championship is scheduled for July 23-27th at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
Defending national champion Matthew Rosenfeld of Plano, Texas, will attempt to become the only person beside Tiger Woods to successfully defend his U.S. Junior Amateur title.
Entries are open to male amateur golfers who have not reached their 18th birthday by July 27, 2002 and have a USGA handicap not exceeding 6.4.
All entry forms (signed by parent) along with a $20 entry fee must be received by 5:00pm (EDT) on Wednesday, June 5th at the USGA, P.O. Box 223, Far Hills, NJ 07931-0223.
Entries are NOT accepted locally.
