Frank Amorin
Frank Amorin, formerly of Hanamaulu, died at Kaiser Permanente Hospital on April 20, 2002 at the age of 77.
Born in Hanamaulu on Oct. 28, 1924, he was a retired painter.
He is survived by two daughters; Priscilla (Orestes) Miguel of Lihu’e and Carol (Ron) Dias of Kapolei, O’ahu, two sons; Harold Amorin of Kapolei, and Darrell (Dawn) Amorin of Kapa’a, one sister; Delphine “Bina” (William) Chamizo of Honolulu and two brothers; Mac Amorin of Hanamaulu and Jack (Monica) Amorin of Lawai. There are 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 30, at Immaculate Conception church in Kapaia from 9 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Kapaia. Casual attire is suggested.
Leoncia Cuyo
Leoncia “Lynn” Cabinatan Cuyo, of Ewa Beach in Honolulu died at her residence on April 7, 2002, at the age of 80.
A homemaker, she was born in the Philippines on March 30, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Refamonte, Sr. and second husband, Timoteo Cuyo, Sr. and sons Timothy Cuyo Jr. and Jerry Refamonte, Sr.
She is survived by five daughters: Jean (Manny) Redeira of Las Vegas, Nev., Doris Refamonte of Lihu’e, Janet (Domingo) Largusa of Lihu’e, Pearl (Raymond) Awana of Kaneohe, Beverly Hamamoto of Ewa Beach; two sons: Thomas (Josephine) Refamonte, Jr. of Hanama’ulu and Ronald (Koren) Refamonte, Sr. of Wailua; three brothers: Dionico (Beatrice) Cabinatan of Honolulu, Galdino (Julia) Cabinatan of Ewa Beach, Antonio Cabinatan; three sisters: Bessie (Robert) Snively of Seatac, Vicky (Henry) Paolillo of Honolulu and Buena Canales of Ewa Beach; 29 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 27, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 8 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.

Ernesto Baltazar
Ernesto Blanco Baltazar, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at his residence in Kapa’a, on April 21, 2002, at the age of 67.
Born in the Philippines on Aug. 27, 1934, he was a Mechanic for McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by his wife: Carmen Baltazar of Kapa’a; two sons: Andrew (Lee Undra) Baltazar of Kapa’a; George (Yoshiko) Baltazar of O’ahu; two daughters: Rebecca (Orlando) Canosa of Kapa’a; Ginalyn Baltazar of Nevada; two brothers: Abraham (Josefina) Baltazar of Virginia; Francisca Udaundo of the Philippines, 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at the residence 5606 Kulamau’u St., in Kapahi on Wednesday, May 1, 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation again on Thursday, May 2, at Borthwick Kauai Chapel, Koloa from 8 a.m. services at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Wilfred “Moe” Keale
Wilfred Nalani “Moe” Keale of Kaneohe, died April 15, 2002, at Castle Medical Center at the age of 62.
Born in Honolulu on Dec. 3, 1939, he was a well-known entertainer, actor, healer, and humanitarian.
He is survived by his wife Carol Keale; son Nalani Keale, sister Momi Mix; Niihau Ohana; hanai sisters Martha Noyles, Loke Lyu and Kauhane Lee, godson Kekoaokekoolau Lyu, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of his life will be held Monday, April 29, at Kawaihao Church with visitation from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. service from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and visitation again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aloha attire is suggested.
A musical remembrance will take place Saturday, May 4, from noon at Kuhio Beach Hula Mound, with scattering of ashes at sea at sunset.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Moe Keale Fund for the American Heart Association.

Beatrice Galante
Beatrice E. Galante died March 20, 2002, at West Kauai Medical Center at the age of 74.
Born May 27, 1928 in Nashua, New Hampshire, she had been a Kaua’i resident since 1995 and had previously lived in Lompoc, Calif.
She is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters. Joe Galante of Kapaa, Nick Galante of Omao, William Bellefleur of Florida, Amanda White of California, and Clara Ayotte of New Hampshire. She also has 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Beatrice has one surviving brother Leo Mayo of Nashua, New Hampshire.
Burial at Koloa Cemetery was private. Friends are invited to a memorial service at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.
