Officials of the Lawful Hawaiian Government are meeting today at the Kaua’i Veterans Center in Lihu’e to discuss re-establishing the Hawaiian monarchy.
A meeting is set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., officials will discuss the makeup of the government’s constitution and finances and its future plans.
The public is invited to attend. Attendees from across the Hawaiian Islands are expected.
“We encourage the kupuna and other organizations pertaining to sovereignty to attend,” said Kane Pa, a representative for the organization.
Expected to attend the meeting is Henry Noa, a prime minister in the organization, and Duke Inimoto, a legislative leader for the group.
Members of the legislative, executive judicial branches of the Lawful Hawaiian Government also are planning to attend the gathering.
Roughly 4,000 people are participating in a process to become citizens of the Hawaiian kingdom government, organizers of the Lawful Hawaiian Government said.
