Cheston Balaan scored nine of his 15 points in the 5th and 6th quarters to lead the Puhi Wildcats to a 32-20 win over the Lihue Lakers in the first game of the evening. Reece Senda notched six points for the Lakers.
In the third game, Kapa’a topped the Westside Hornets 32-31 with Junnel Calpito leading the winning team with eight points.
Alden Haltip scored nine for the Hornets.
There were five community basketball games for Boys 12-Under last Saturday at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center.
Kilauea’s Harry Noone scored 16 to lead his team to a 51-17 win over Kalaheo #1. Tyrus Ceria-Lux scored 12 for Kalaheo.
The Lihue Rebels beat Kapa’a #1 40-14 in the second game of boys under-12 action. The Chong-Youn tandem notched eight points for Kapa’a, Basil Walton put up a flashy 21 for the Rebels.
Vincent Vea notched six points in the West Hornets 25-19 win over Kapa’a #2 in the third game of the night.
Elijah Phillips put up 10 points for Kapa’a #2.
Scott Taylor’s six points boosted the Lihue and 1 to a 33-29 victory over Kilauea.
Tyler Hadly notched 12 for Kilauea.
Kalaheo #2 got a 25-17 win over Kapa’a #1. Reggie Vigilia scored six for Kalaheo and Brandon Chong scored eight for Kapa’a.
