The Kaua’i Hui Ohana softball tournament kicked off November 30, December 1 and 2, at Waimea Canyon Ballpark.
In the Men’s Division, Jus’ Pound was the champion, second place went to Full Force and third place to Bus ’em. And for Co-Ed, the champion was Get Real, followed by Toolmaster and Rooties.
For the Men’s Division, the leagues most valuable player was John Ruiz of Full Force. Kaina McCallum of the Kapahi Boars hit the most homruns, and Teddy Perreira of Full Force hit the most RBI’s.
The male MVP of the Co-Ed division is Rayson Cacal of Get Real, and the female is Raynette Ventar of Get Real. Wendall Nonaka of Rooties hit the most home runs, and Rawlin Kanoho of Rooties, and Erica Iwai of Get Real, hit the most RBI’s.
The All Stars for the tournament include Jau Kahunaele and Matt Rapozo of Jus’ Pound; Shawn Baliaris of Nasty Boys, Lei Kuapahi of Bus ‘Em, Wendall Nonaka of Full Force, Kaina McCallum of Kapahi Boars, Toto Santos of Rooties, Melissa Diaz of Toolmaster, Crystal Shimatsu of Get Real, and Laura Vegas of Tradewind.
Randy Riggen took with him the Homerun Derby victory, followed by Kaina McCallum, Brad Vidinha, Wendall Nonaka, Teddy Perreira, and Donald Ouderkirk.
