Martha Anne Caldwell of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died at home on June 9, 2001, at the age of 73.
Born in Cambria, Virginia, on July 4, 1927, she was a Homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia (Doug) Wilhem of Kalaheo, three brothers: Jimmie (Emma) Moore of Chilliocothe, OH; Jack Moore of Chilliocothe, OH; George Robert Moore of Smiths, AL; two sisters: Patricia (Gene) Swenson of Chilliocothe, OH; Georgia Sue (Mike) Murphy of Indianapolis, IN; grandchild: Zachary (Sophia) Wilhem of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services to be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
George Cooper a former resident of Kapa’a, died June 10, 2001 at Melbourne, Fl.
Born in Birmingham, England, November 13, 1908. He came to the United States in 1931, and spent most of his working years on board merchant ships that traveled throughout the world. Mr. Cooper spent his last 30 retirement years in Kapa’a.
He is survived by his son; Theodore (Mary) Cooper of Melbourne Beach, FL; 9 grand children and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cooper will be cremated and ashes spread at sea. He was featured on the front page of the Kaua’i Times last year.
