– Isabel Ruiz, 22, was charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, on Feb. 10 in connection with a break-in at Banana Joe’s Fruit Stand and an attempt to take food. Judge Clifford Nakea Tuesday granted a deferral period on the charge for one year. He also sentenced Ruiz to 30 days in jail, in addition to 31 days previously served.
– A sentence of 20 days in jail and one year of probation was handed down to Jessie Bonachita, 26, who was charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, misdemeanor terroristic threatening in the second degree and tampering with a witness, a misdemeanor.
On July 28 last year, authorities said, Bonachita went into Rob’s Good Times Grill and assaulted and threatened a complainant in a pending case against the defendant’s brother.
