From 5 to 9 p.m., VA officials will be available for personal interviews with veterans and family members.

Tickets on sale for Lions Club pancake breakfast
The Kaua’i North Shore Lions Club is selling tickets to its annual pancake breakfast fund-raiser.
The breakfast is scheduled for the Hanalei School cafeteria this Sunday from 7 to 11 a.m. Proceeds will be used for programs to support the people of the North Shore area.
Tickets will also be available at the door at a cost of $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
“This is an excellent chance to have a great breakfast and to contribute to the great work that the Lions Club is doing,” said a club spokesman.
Some of the community programs sponsored by the club are for recycling eyeglasses, purchasing eyeglasses for those who can’t otherwise afford them, sponsoring youth vision and hearing screening, and providing funding in the fight against drug abuse. Information on other community support programs can be seen on the club’s Web site at www.kauainorthshorelions.org.
Check again: Vehicle registration due?
Kaua`i County officials have again reminded motorists to check whether their annual vehicle registration payment is due in April.
If it is, payments can be made between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the county Department of Motor Vehicles at Lihu`e Civic Center. Owners should bring their vehicle’s current registration form and safety check.
A county spokeswoman said some motorists have reported they haven’t received their registration renewal notices that were mailed last month.
