George Amorin of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 31, 2001, at the age of 79.
Born in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i on Sept. 9, 1921, he was a refuse collector with Kaua’i County.
He is survived by: his wife: Zinia Amorin of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; three brothers: Manuel Amorin of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, Jack (Monica) Amorin of Lawai, Kaua’i, and Frank Amorin of Honolulu, O’ahu; sister: Delphine (Alphonso) Shimizu of Aiea, O’ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Paul will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.
