LIHU’E — The Menehunes are used to bigger margins, but the end result was the same Tuesday night. The Waimea junior varsity team won 34-28 over host Kaua’i to improve its record to 6-0.

After a 13-4 first quarter, the Menehunes likely felt as though they would cruise to another large win, but the Red Raiders held tough, outscoring the visitors 15-12 in the second half.
