individual who had a lifeguard when he needed one was a 74-year-old visitor who
got in over his head last Wednesday at Po’ipu Beach. His panicked thrashing
caught the eye of Kaua’i County lifeguards Myles Emura and Roy Yamagata, who
quickly brought the man to shore and administered medical aid until county
firefighters arrived. At last word, he was doing just fine – and no doubt had a
