On behalf of the
Waimea football team, we would like to thank the whole community for getting
behind us. We know this game is important to the island. We just hope we can go
up there and make the island proud Friday.
I also would like to thank my
assistant coaches for putting up with me and doing a great job with the young
men. And, of course, the boys deserve a lot of credit. Without them there
is no football. They and their families deserve plenty for the sacrifices that
have been made. It takes great players to make great coaches; you’ve got to
have young men willing to work. I’m thankful that I do.
Today [Wednesday]
was a very light day. We just did our basic walkthrough stuff, getting ready
for the game. We’re not doing anything spectacular anymore. The fun thing about
football is that it’s repetitive.
