Hanapepe Broncos 16;

Lihu’e Patriots 6; (3-1)
In a battle of two unbeatens, Hanapepe
got the best of Lihu’e in a tight battle, jumping to a 16-0 advantage before
cruising.
Lauren Lutao was responsible for Hanapepe’s first two points,
sacking the Lihu’e quarterback in the end zone for a second-quarter
safety.
In the third quarter, Broncos QB John-Vincent Palacio found Lance
Kauwe for a 29-yard scoring strike. Lutao added the two-point conversion for
the 10-0 lead.
Chauncy Banasihan dove in from two yards out late in the
fourth quarter to pad the Broncos’ lead.
With 19 seconds remaining, Lihu’e
QB Kekoa Crowell found Westin Victorino for a 17-yard pass to get the Patriots

Hanapepe Colts 0;

After a scoreless first quarter, Chyson Gray opened t eh second with
a three-yard blast into the end zone, capping a four-play, 37-yard
drive.
Pono Perez got the Jaguars back on the board in the third quarter
with a 51-yard gallop to the end zone. In the fourth quarter, Lihu’e’s Micah
Alayvilla ended the scoring with a seven-yard dash into the end zone.

Lihu’e Dolphins 38; (2-2)
Hanapepe Cowboys 0; (1-3)
Stanton
Yoshimori scored the first of his two touchdowns on a 42-yard run at the 1:54
mark of the first quarter. His second came in the third quarter on a 74-yard
scramble.
Dolphins quarterback Kaleo Perez ran one in from 34 yards out in
the second quarter, then found Kyle Kaili on a 49-yard strike in the fourth for
another TD. Kaili scored his first touchdown of the day on a 60-yard punt
return early in the third quarter.
After a Brian Rapozo fumble recovery
midway through the fourth quarter, Brendon Young rumbled 24 yards for a
score.

Midgets
Kapa’a
Vikings 17; (3-1)
Kekaha Chargers 0; (1-3)
The Vikings improved their
record with a shutout of the Chargers at Vidinha Stadium.
Trevor Espina
got Kapa’a on the board in the first quarter, when he capped a six-play,
47-yard drive with a 29-yard touchdown run. Blaine Baxter added the two-point
conversion for the 8-0 lead.
There was no scoring in the second or third
quarters. Then, in the fourth period, Baxter booted a 35-yard field goal for a
11-0 advantage. With 1:26 remaining in the game, William Higa added an
insurance touchdown, hustling 38-yards for the score.
Koloa Raiders 35;
(1-3)
Northshore Chiefs 18; (0-4)
Shiler Sugimura scored four
touchdowns as Koloa romped over the Northshore Chiefs.
Sugimura got a score
in the second quarter (51-yard pass interception), two in the third (runs of 24
and 20 yards) and one in the fourth (17-yard run).
The Raiders, however,
got on the board first when Gevin Loftstedt rambled in from 14 yards out with
nine minutes remaining in the opening quarter. Thirty second later, Koloa’s
Gary Pavao registered a safety.
Northshore got on the board in the third
quarter, when quarterback Frank Rivera ran in from 25 yards out. That made the
score 29-6. The Chiefs scored again early in the fourth on a one-yard plunge by
Arian Apuna.
Northshore also ended the day’s scoring, when Rivera found
Apuna in the end zone on a 40-yard pass.

Kapa’a Warriors 6;

Kekaha Panthers 6; (1-1-1)
This game provided drama right to
the end.
Kekaha got on the board midway through the first quarter, when
Jonah-Cy K. Pascua scrambled 33 yards for the score.
Quarters two and
three proved defensive, as neither team was able to crack the
scoreboard.
The fourth quarter nearly ended that way, too, but Kapa’a’s
Brandon Chong blocked a Kekaha punt on the 35-yard line and weaved in for the
touchdown. The failed extra point left the score tied.

Seahawks quarterback Kai
Reyes found Christopher Newcomb for a seven-yard scoring pass to get Kekaha on
the board early. Drew Ueno added the two-point conversion for the early 8-0
lead.
Late in the first quarter, Mervin Pasion ran for a 21-yard TD to cap
a 10-play drive and give the Seahawks a 14-0 lead.
In the second quarter,
Chad Barba ran in from 24 yards out to boost Kekaha’s advantage. Barba scored
again, from nine yards out, in the fourth quarter. Ueno added the extra point
to end the scoring.
Koloa Rams 37; (4-0)
Northshore Giants 0;
(0-4)
Defense got the Rams on the board early when Shannon Oketani
recovered a fumble and scrambled for the touchdown at the 4:41 mark of the
first quarter. Alan Kalili added the two-point conversion.
Kaeo Davis ran
14 yards for Koloa’s next score; Oketani added the two-point conversion.
In
the second quarter, Kalili scored twice to widen the gap. The first TD came on
a 51-yard run; the second on a 55-yard interception return.
Jerren
Hashimoto ended the scoring with a one-yard plunge late in the third
quarter.
