The League of Women Voters strikes again.
The group, already doing its part
to encourage voter participation in the upcoming general election by sponsoring
a public forum for Kaua’i County Council candidates Oct. 9 at Kaua’i War
Memorial Convention Hall, now is also hosting five coffees for candidates at
senior centers in October.
The coffee klatches are scheduled for Oct. 5,
Oct. 9, Oct. 12, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24, all at 9:30 a.m. At that time of day, the
sessions are obviously geared for seniors and any other non-working Kauaians.
Nevertheless, the League is adding to the overall effort to generate islanders’
interest in the election.
