Cesario CadavonaCesario Butak Cadavona of Makaweli, Kaua’i, died Sept.

22, 2000, at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.

An

irrigator with the sugar industry for Gay & Robinson, he was born March 1,

1925, in the Philippines.

He is survived by his wife: Carmen Cadavona of

Makaweli; one daughter; Mila Yamaoka of Kalaheo; two sons: Albert (Natasha)

Cadavona of Lihu’e and Roland Cadavona of ‘Ele’ele; two sisters: Andriana Reyes

of O’ahu and Perfectua Cadavona of the Philippines; one brother: Philomeno

(Carlina) Cadavona of California; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews

and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 2, at St. Theresa’s

Catholic Church in Kekaha from 8:30 a.m. Services to be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Burial to follow at Hanapepe Filipino Cemetery.

Casual attire is suggested.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Juan

Aguida Juan of Kealia died Sept. 22, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital

at the age of 89.

A homemaker, she was born April 1, 1911, in the

Philippines.

She is survived by three daughters: Felomina Yadao of Las

Vegas, Nev., Juanita (Pedro) Galacgac of Las Vegas, and Avelina Dannog of

Kealia; three sons: Alfredo (Jovita) Juan of the Philippines, Santiago (Martha)

Juan of Kapa’a and Ernie Juan of Wailua; 36 grandchildren, numerous great

grandchildren; one brother: Eldifonso (Pilajia) Ulay of Las Vegas and one

sister: Brigida Juan of the Philippines.

Friends and family may call on

Wednesday, Oct. 4, at St. Catherine’s Church from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where

services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu’e Public

Cemetery.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by

Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Sim Yu of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died

Sept. 21, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82.

A proprietor

with the logging industry, he was born Aug. 15, 1918, in China.

He is

survived by his wife: Jesusa Calipjo Yu of Kaua’i; two daughters: Cheryll

(Manuel) Calipjo-Agtacap and Lilian (Edgar) Calipjo-Curammeng of Kaua’i; three

sons: Elestner (Milagrose) Calipjo of Kaua’i, Lisel (Melita) Calipjo of the

Philippines; and Wang Yun Zhi of China; 14 grandchildren; several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, at

Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services at 7 p.m.

Visitation is again scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, at Immaculate Conception

Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow

at the Kalapaki Bay Cemetery.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are

being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Julia

Rapozo of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died Sept. 27, 2000, at Samuel Mahelona Hospital at

the age of 99.

A homemaker, she was born July 30, 1901, in Kealia,

Kaua’i.

She is survived by one brother: Raymond Souza of Kapa’a; one

sister: Olivia Kanae of O’ahu; one son: Raymond Rapozo of Kapa’a; one daughter:

Winona (Sonny) Aona of O’ahu; 10 grandchildren and numerous

great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and

family may call on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at St. Catherine’s Church from 9 a.m. to

9:15 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at

St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements

are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
