I am pleased to offer our support for the Kaua’i Monk Seal Watch
Program.The occurrence of encountering a Hawaiian monk seal seems to be
increasing around the island, and we believe it is time to expand the education
and awareness about this unique endangered species.
We are happy to see the
dedication from the community for the continued protection of the Hawaiian monk
seal, as was recently experienced with the birth of a monk seal pup at Po’ipu
Beach. We support the ongoing efforts of education awareness for our residents
and visitors about the Hawaiian monk seal.
