Larissa Nebre fired a pair of treys and a field goal to lead
Kilauea with 8 points.
Krystalyn Kashiwabara and Holly Iloreta put on a
strong defense in the lane as they held the Kaua`i women to just 17 points in
the Puhi Wildcats’ 28-17 win.
Turning to their guards and transition
players, Puhi piled up their scores behind a 7-point showing from Kelly Dennis
and 6 points by Camy Mizukami.
Sarah Sakimae tolerated battering in the
lane to come up with 4 points along with Kehau Regidor who squeezed off a pair
of field goals for Kaua`i. Rona Nishikawa, the other post player for Kaua`i,
had 3 points.
Balanced scoring by Run ‘N Gun highlighted their 28-8 win
over the Kilauea Hui in the finale.
Lorraine Lagoc fired 6 points to pace
the Run ‘N Gun with Ulu Kelekoma, Sara Curnan, Napua Naumu, and Taryn Dizon
each adding 4 points each, Dizon’s coming from a 4-for-6 showing at the free
throw line.
Larissa Nebre led Kilauea with 5 points with Dellun Gandia
adding a pair, and Randi Fu contributing one.
