Administrator for Kekaha Sugar Company, he was born on July 27, 1916, in
Wailuku, Maui.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Bal of Kekaha; one son:
Edward (Diana) Bal of Acampo, Calif.; one hanai son: Norman (Kiyomi) Lung of
Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters: Leimomi (William) Crowell of Kekaha, Kauai;
Kahaunani Landfried of Redlands, Calif.; five grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with
the family is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 29, beginning at 9 a.m. at the St.
Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kekaha. Mass officiated by Father Alphonse
Larochelle will begin at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens in
Kapaia. Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden
Island Mortuary.
