Howard Nishihara of Hacienda Heights, Calif. and formerly of Kaua’i died Jan. 15, 2000, at Whittier Hospital, Whittier, Calif., at the age of 57. He was born in Koloa, Kaua’i and graduated from Kaua’i High School and Oregon State University. He was a mechanical engineer and had retired from Hughes Aerospace Corp. in California.
He is survived by his wife Lillian of Hacienda Heights; two daughters, Stacy of Seattle, Wash., and Kamery of San Diego, Calif., and one son, Marcus, of Hacienda Heights; parents Mitsugi and Kamee Nishihara of Koloa; four sisters, Ann (Harold) Ayabe of Kaneohe, Edna (Keith) Holderman of Kalaheo, Gloria (Jack) Young of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Thelma (Don) Chikuma of Belleveue, Wash.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held on Jan. 20, in Los Angeles, Calif.
