LIHUE — The Flash Flood Warning for the County of Kauai has been replaced with a Flash Flood Watch until noon today. The National Weather Service reports that bands of heavy rain are expect to continue throughout the island this morning.
All roads remain open at this time, including Kuhio Highway near the Hanalei Bridge, and Weliweli Road in Koloa, which were closed due to flooding. However, ponding on roadways and low visibility will make for hazardous driving conditions.
Primary Election voting will continue as scheduled today. Registered voters may vote at their designated polling sites from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The emergency shelter at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall is scheduled to close at 9 a.m. The Kauai Bus is running as scheduled.
