LIHUE — A man was listed in critical condition Monday at Wilcox Memorial Hospital after being pulled from the waters on the island’s Eastside Friday afternoon.
The Kauai Fire Department responded to a report of a possible drowning off Kauai Shores around 3 p.m., according to county officials.
“Medics were first on scene and located the male unconscious,” county spokeswoman Sarah Blane wrote in an email. “He was then transported to Wilcox Memorial Hospital where he remains in critical condition.”
Due to the victim’s condition, no other information about the incident was available Monday.
