Patrick Medeiros
Patrick Edward Medeiros, 73, of Lihue passed away at his home in Lihue on September 7, 2014. A retired golf course marshall, and a veteran of the United States Navy, he was born on July 23, 1941 in Lihue.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Medeiros, five daughters; Ranae (Edward) Vicoy of Wailua, Julie (Darren) Nygaard of Colorado, Lori (Tony) Cardenas of Lawai, Laura (Dave) Cristobal-Andersland of Kalaheo and Teri (Chad) Cataluna of Lihue, thirteen grandchildren; Randy, Eliza (Junior), Jenna (Ben), Charmonieux (John), Dominica, Michael (Achel), John, Sean (Jessika), Nicole (Nelson), Nathan (Zenda), Chelane, Shaston (Deja) and Shaidon (Justyce) and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Manuel Medeiros, sister, Marlynn Kuhaulua and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery beginning at 10:00am Saturday, September 13, 2014. Services will begin at 11:00am with military honors and inurnment to follow. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests aloha attire.

Arthur Riola
Arthur “Art” Riola of Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away at his residence on September 2, 2014 at the age of 78. He was a retired Electrical Mechanical Designer and he was in The United States Navy.
Preceded in death by his parents, Feliciano & Alfonsa Riola, sisters, Catherine Wong, Sylvia Mitsuda, Carol Taira, brother, Alex Riola, wife, Jennie Riola.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Les) Gottlieb, son, Philip (Marianne) Riola, brothers, Anthony (Rosina), Lawrence (Julie) and Franklin (Rose) Riola and 2 grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday September 13, 2014 at Saint Sylvester’s Catholic Church, Kilauea. Visitation at 8:00 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Casual attire is suggested.

Lillian Yasuko Silva of Kalaheo, Kauai, died on September 8, 2014 at home at the age of 81. She was born to Richard and Dorothy Muraoka on April 11, 1933 in Koloa, Kauai.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Joe” Silva Sr., son, Charles (Della) Silva Jr. of Kauai, daughters, Carolyn (Ronnie) Dotario of Kauai, Marilyn Alao of Kauai, Theresa (George) Castillo of Big Island, Bonnie Labuguen-Lanning of Kauai, and Lynn (Teddy) Perreira of Kauai, brother, Donald (Marie) Muraoka of San Jose, CA, sister, Elethia Okuno of Omao, sister-in-law Caroline Hart, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Holy Cross Church from 8:00 am, followed by celebration of Mass at 10:00 am.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests casual attire.

Josefina Agustin
Josefina “Sipin” Jadulang Agustin, 67, of Puhi passed away on September 10, 2014. Born on April 9, 1947 in Honolulu, raised in Hawi, Kohala. She was known for her service at Coco Palms, Lihue BBQ Inn, Kauai Surf, Westin and Up-To-Date Cleaners.
Preceded in death by her parents Ramon & Crecensia Jadulang and Brother Ernesto Jadulang.
She is survived by her husband, Potenciano “Pat” Agustin, son Duwain Sadorra of Kaneohe, daughters, Lara Sadorra of Puhi, Lori (Richard) Pascua of Waianae, Danielle (Aaron) Olds of Dallas, TX., and Patricia Agustin Melendez of Puhi, step-daughter, Candice (Steve) Cummings. 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brother, Manuel (Norma) Jadulang, sisters, Salvacion Castillo and Loretta Yamashita, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Lihue Baptist Church. Visitation at 8:30 a.m. Service begins at 10 a.m. Light lunch to shortly follow.

Shizue Nakata
Shizue Nakata of Koloa, Kauai, died on September 7, 2014 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at the age of 92. Born on April 22, 1922 in Koloa, Kauai, she was a loving baby sitter for her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Hatsuki Nakata, parents, Muneji and Tama Sukisaki, brothers, Iwao and James Sukisaki, and sisters, Yuriko Shimonishi and Ayako Michioka.
She is survived by her five daughters, Nora Masuda, Katherine Vasconcelles, Gloria (Richard) Kusumoto, Karen (Gary) Miyahara, and Joy Nakata Muranaka, sisters, Yoshino Ishii and Patricia (Joe) Scribner, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.

Geneva Norman
Geneva Mae Norman of Kapahi passed unto the Lord on August 7, 2014 at home at the age of 88. She was born on April 25, 1926, in Akron, Ohio. She retired as a Real Estate agent.
Preceded in death by Charles K. Norman, survived by sons, Chris Norman and Jack Norman and daughter April Williams as well as 5 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Kealia Beach, the far north cove.
