Jose Macalma Pacol passed away on April 28, 2015, at home at the age of 81. Born on March 17, 1934, in Paoay Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a mechanic and cane haul operator with the Kekaha Sugar Cane Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Teofila; son, Jose Junior Gomez Pacol; and sister, Ana Pacol Caday.
Jose is survived by his wife, Corazon Gomez Pacol; three sons, Melvyn (Tereza) Pacol of Puhi, Donald Dennis Gomez Pacol of Puhi, and Regie (Erin) Pacol of Kennesaw, Georgia; five grandchildren, Brittney Pacol, Taylor Pacol, Blake Lacro Pacol, Makayla Pacol, and Jocelyn Pacol; brother, Loreto Pacol of Eleele; and sister, Melie (Honorato) Pacol Dela Cruz of Kekaha.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Garden Island Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
