Auditions for Hawaii Children’s Theatre’s fall show, Disney’s Broadway version of “Mary Poppins,” begin today and continue through the week with rehearsals beginning on Aug. 10.
Performances open Nov. 13 and run for three weekends, closing Nov. 29.
Saturday auditions for the roles of Mary, Bert, Jane and Michael are 1-4 p.m. at the Kauai Association of Performing Artists, 4411 Kikowaena St. Cast will be using British accents in the show. Tap dancing is required for the roles of Bert and Mary, and preferred for the Banks children.
Open auditions for all roles are also scheduled 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at KAPA. Be prepared for a song from the show. There are roles that do not require dancing.
Dance auditions are scheduled noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 1 at War Memorial Convention Center.
Artistic director and choreographer is Carol Culver. Musical director is Alan Van Zee.
