Happy birthday to Robyn Acob (last week’s high-pointer?) who celebrated her special day shooting for the Waimea girls at the KIF air riflery match at the Kauai High School range!
Who else beside Dean Okayama has that new Nikkor 200-500mm zoom, and how many have been able to reach the 500mm? Dean said he was halfway up the stands and couldn’t go past 400mm.
Judy Capertina of Haole Girl Island Sweets (have you been to her bakery in Wailua yet?) will be doing the coconut demonstration Sunday at noon at the Coconut Festival. She said Bob Bartolo wanted her Saturday, but she’s got a wedding to take care of. She said she’ll also be doing demos at the upcoming chocolate and coffee event in Hanapepe later this month.
And Helaine Perel and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack are getting ready for the opening of Longs Drugs Sunday morning starting at 7 a.m. Congratulations to Longs store manager Mike Segno and his crew (the Honolulu set up guys are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach).
