Damon Makaio Perreira of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on June 20, 2016 at the age of 39.
Born on Sept. 17, 1976 on the Island of Kauai he was a sole proprietor.
Preceded in death by: parents, Joseph & Agnes Perreira.
Survived by: companion, Roxanne Belmonte, Kilauea, sister, Charlene “Momi” (Marvin) Lum, Kapaa, brother, Joseph “Jay” (Cheryl) Perreira Jr., Lihue, daughter’s, Isabella, Iolana, Hali’alani Perreira , son, Kamalei Perreira & numerous Aunties & Uncles, cousins, friends.

Ellsworth “Opu” Abraham Kaohimaunu Kaleiohi of Anahola passed away at home on July 4, 2016, at the age of 85. He was born in Papa’a, Kauai on Oct. 3, 1930, retired from Construction and was an avid Diver.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ephraim and Evangeline Kaleiohi; brothers, Ephraim “Moose” Kaleiohi, Samuel “Buff” Kaleiohi, Robert Kaleiohi, Philip Kaleiohi; sisters, Winifred Cummings and Evelyn Reis.
Opu is survived by his wife, Yolanda “Lani” Kaleiohi of Anahola; sons, Kevin (Kalae) Kaleiohi of Anahola, Ellsworth (Kehau) Kaleiohi of Anahola; daughter, Marisa (Lori) Kaleiohi of Anahola; 8 grandchildren, Char-Lee Kaleiohi, Leoni Kaleiohi, Kaipo Kaleiohi, Saebre Kaleiohi, Ellsworth Kaleiohi, Sealei Kaleiohi, Lilia Rapozo-Kaleiohi, Kamuali’i Rapozo-Kaleiohi; one great-grandson, Alekona Iokepa Kaleiohi; brothers, Edward (Amanda) Kaleiohi of Anahola, Joseph (Marlene) Kaleiohi of Anahola, Theodore Kaleiohi of California; sisters, Evangeline Evans of Kalaheo, Phyllis Goias of Lihue, Daisy Tailfeathers of Lihue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Opu’s life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Anahola Beach Park beginning at 1 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Kaleiohi family with arrangements.
Christine Renee Hills-Coté
Christine Renee Hills-Coté was born on June 7, 1967 in Burien, Washington and stepped into the welcoming embrace of Christ after a brave fight with cancer on Kauai, June 21, 2016.
Christine grew up on Vashon Island, Washington and graduated from Biola University, married Darren Coté in 1993 and for the next 23 years they were involved together in Christian ministry.
With their two children Ashley and Austin, the Coté family lived in Lake Arrowhead, CA for 16 years with shorter stints in Palm Desert, CA and Ventura, CA, before moving to Kauai in 2015 fulfilling a life long dream for Christine.
In 2005, Christine and Darren Coté became founders of African Orphan Outreach (AOO) in response to the AIDS pandemic. Christine was the volunteer Director of Operations and Sponsorship and did the monthly Newsletter, which gave her a chance to use her love of writing in concert with her love for the widows and orphaned children of Africa.
What started out with 75 children has now grown to where they now help over 300 orphaned children, a couple schools, and dozens of local care giving staff.
AOO was Christine’s mission in life and a tremendous passion to her. The kids and staff at the Orphanages in Africa call her “Momma Christine!” They will all miss her!
Survivors include her husband, Darren Coté, and their children Ashley and Austin of Kauai. Fred and Marilyn Hills (parents); Ron (brother) and Martha Hills- Haley, Evan; Roger Hills (brother)
A Memorial service will be held at the Kauai Christian Fellowship, 2731 Ala Kinoiki Rd. Koloa, on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. and can be viewed via live streaming at www.kauaichristian.com.

Lorraine Therese (Craveira) Rho
Lorraine Therese (Craveira) Rho, 79, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on March 21, 2016. She graduated from Kapaa High School in 1954 and the University of Missouri College of Journalism. She is survived by husband Edward Rho, sisters Marie Brown of CA and Helen Tice of FL. Preceded her in death were her parents Anthony and Mary Craveira; brother Eugene; sister Patricia Sellnow; and grandmothers Helen Jordan Craveira and Maria Vierra.
A plaque in her memory is at the Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery in Las Vegas.
