Michael Joseph Texeira Sr.
Michael Joseph Texeira, passed away on May 2, 2016, in Belleville Illinois at the age of 81.
Born on April 13, 1935, in Kauai, he was self-employed.
He is preceded in death by his father William Texeira Sr; mother, Angeline Chandler Texeira; and oldest daughter Estella Alayvilla.
He is survived by his wife BonnieTexeira of Belleville, Illinois, his daughters, Jennifer “Tida” (Calvin) Texeira of Wailua Houselots, Marella “Leila” Texeira of Kapaa & Carol (Ronald) Alalem of Kapahi, sons, Michael “Big Boy” (Mel) Texeira, Thomas “Tommy” (Maile) Texeira of Puhi & Roberto “Snorkels” (Laurie) Texeira of Kapaa, Alfredo Texeira of Wailua Homesteads, three-step children of Belleville, Illinois, daughter, Pam (Bob) Forbeck), Ginger (Jeff) Terveer & son, Roger (Rachelle) Schubert, siblings, bothers, Anthony ( Cecelia “Tobi”) Texeira, William Jr. (Miriam “Lahapa”) Texeira, David Texeira, Aloysius “Ali” (Leslee) Texeira, sisters, Angelina “Honey” (Lynn) Turner, Rosalina “sweetie” (Patrick) Lopez & Chanel (Mario) Catbagan, numerous nieces & nephews, 37 grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren & 52 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, Oct, 15, 2016, at the Assembly of God in Kapaa at 4158 Koa St. Kapaa, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
A scattering of ashes will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, in at Wailua Beach Park. Time to be determined.
Casual and aloha attire suggested. Flowers welcome. No alcohol

Helen Fernandes Robinson of Waimea, Kauai, passed away at the age of 100 on Aug. 29, 2016, at home. Born on May 31, 1916, in Waimea, Kauai, Helen was a librarian for Hanapepe Public Library.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Robinson.
Helen is survived by her sons, Alvin William (Mary) Robinson of Waimea, Kenneth (Jo-Ann) Robinson of Waimea, and Robin (Nadine) Robinson of Kaumakani; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Ackerley of Nebraska; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Lucas Makana Riley
Lucas Makana Riley, 24, son of Mark and Tami Riley of Kalaheo, Kauai.
Survived by brother Cory Riley and sister Lauren Riley, fiancé Shawna Wickwire, grandmothers Anita Myers, Lihue and Lil Riley, Poipu, along with many cousin’s aunty’s and uncle’s.
“Celebration of Life” for Lucas Makana Riley “ Who Learned to Love Well” is Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, NTBG (National Botanical Garden Meadows entrance across from the Spouting Horn Poipu). Parking at the Garden Meadows (follow signs) 12:30 p.m. – visitation and Pupu’s 2 p.m.
Paddle out, BYO Board. Kukuiula Small Boat Harbor 2:30 p.m. – service immediately following in the Garden Meadow. Music, celebration and food to follow.

Carol Nance of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Sept. 10, 2016, at the age of 72.
Born on Sept.13, 1943, in Michigan City, Indiana, she worked in the Science and Finance Department at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Kalaheo.
Preceded in death by parents, Terry Bryan and Sarah Naomi Parks, husband, Thomas Nance.
Survived by daughter, Tami (Richard) Singer, grandchildren, Andrew & Megan Singer, sisters, Nita (Bob) Lefever & Ester House, five nieces, Norma (Bill) McFarland, Jan Lefever, Debbie Allgood, Kathy Allgood, Donna (Ralph) Sillesky, 2 nephews, Bruce Allgood & Allen (Teri) Lefever.
Celebration of life will be held Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at 5 p.m. at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens in the education building at 2530 Papalani Rd. Kalaheo, Kauai.
Family requests donations to be made in the name of Carol Nance to the National Tropical Botanical Gardens (NTBG).
