NIHOKU — On Monday, the second round of Hawaiian Petrel translocation will bring another group of chicks into the borders of the predator-proof fence within the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.
The event will be broadcast live via Facebook Monday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. on the following pages: www.facebook.com/prconservation and www.facebook.com/kauaiseabird project
The translocation is part of an ongoing project under the wing of organizations like Pacific Rim Conservation, American Bird Conservancy, Kauai Endangered Seabird Recovery Project, DOFAW, DLNR and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
The first round of translocation happened Nov. 2, 2015.
