Whether you want to scare your socks off at a haunted house or ride a bike in full costume down the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path, the Garden Isle has your Halloween plans covered.
Wilcox Medical Center will be hosting its 10th annual baby parade today. Keiki 4 years old and younger who were born at Wilcox are invited to don a costume and participate in a trick-or-treating parade. Festivities run noon to 1 p.m.
If you dare to enter, you can visit two haunted houses. Kauai’s Community Haunted House at the Kukui Grove Center, will take place from 5 to 9 tonight and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Clowns, fog and baby skulls meet anyone who enters the haunted house.
Adults pay $5 to enter the spooky exhibit and children 10 and under pay $3.
The Nightmare in Waimea in Waimea Canyon Park will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run through 11 p.m. tonight and Saturday. “Nonscary time” is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30.
Fun, movies and food booths are available. Entry fee is one canned good.
Also on Saturday is the Boos and Booze event at the Historic Waimea Theatre. Costumes are encouraged if residents want to join in for food and drinks and have frightful fun. Festivities start at 6 p.m. and run through 9. Tickets are $40 and proceeds benefit Relay for Life Kauai.
If a drag show is more your speed, join Lambda Aloha for a “Stranger Things” themed Halloween party, starting at 6 p.m at the Kapaa Neighborhood Center.
On Sunday, the Eastside Pride Soccer Club is hosting a Halloween costume ride on the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path. Meet outside the Kapaa Neighborhood Center at 4 p.m. to ride the path in full costume.
Kauai Christian Academy is having its fall festival 4 to 9 p.m. tonight and Saturday. It will include a corn maze, pumpkin patch, pony and hay rides, music and games.
