KUKUIULA — The National Tropical Botanical Garden South Shore Visitor Center bristled with activity as the facility welcomed the public to its Holiday Craft Fair and open house.
“The last one we hosted was in 2013,” said Ryan Buhk, South Shore Visitor Program manager. “Then, we were operating under the ongoing renovations to the visitor center and its surrounding gardens. That is almost done so we thought we would take advantage of all the improvements done during the renovation and resume our popular holiday craft fair.”
Tropical Groove with Haunani Kaui and Linda Tani, and the Joyful Noise taiko ensemble set the atmosphere under cover for the throng of shoppers who browsed through 22 juried vendors and enjoyed food.
