LIHUE — The Kauai High School baseball team, current holders of the Kauai High School baseball title, are unseeded in the Wally Yonamine Hawaii High School Athletic Association baseball state championships, Division II.
In the announcement by the HHSAA Sunday afternoon, the unseeded Red Raiders will open play Thursday against the No. 4 seed Molokai Farmers at 11:30 a.m. at the Hans L’Orange Field in Waipahu, Oahu.
Top seed in the division, Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii Island, will open against Radford, and No. 2 seed Waianae will open against Hawaii Preparatory Academy.
No. 3 seed Damien Memorial High School will play Farrington starting at 7 p.m. in Waipahu.
Winners of the Division II quarterfinals will advance to the Les Murakami Stadium at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where the division championship will take place on Saturday starting at 4 p.m.
