LIHUE — Sept. 22 is American Business Women’s Day, a nationally recognized day set aside to honor and reflect on the contributions of the millions of women business owners and working women in the U.S.
To celebrate the occasion, Maui Business Brainstormers has organized “A Women’s Place is … ” A panel of eight successful women from Maui, Oahu, Big Island and Kauai who will share lessons they have learned about the business world. The brainstorming panel will include Judy P. Capertina, Haole Girl Island Sweets on Kauai.
Others include Melanie Marrero, CEO at Maui Brewing Company; Diane Haynes Woodburn, publisher of Maui No Ka ‘Oi Magazine, and Leslie Malulani Shizue Miki of Abundant Life Natural Foods.
“Women have been always disruptive, trailblazing, inspiring innovators and role models,” said Richard Kehoe, RJK LLC owner and CPA.
The meeting is scheduled on American Business Women’s Day which celebrates the 1949 founding date of the American Business Women’s Association and commemorates the accomplishments of more than 68 million working women across the country.
