Former tobacco barns repurposed for anti-smoking message

Michael Vaughn for decades raised tobacco on his Ballard County Kentucky farm, but after seeing the effects of smoking on his community he decided to stop growing the crop. Now his 100 year old tobacco barn promotes an anti smoking message, Friday in Kevil, Ky.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Michiel Vaughn owes a lot to tobacco. The lucrative crop helped pay for his livelihood in the 1980s when he farmed it in western Kentucky.
