Officials from the Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation presented a plan for the reshaping of the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital to the Kaua‘i County Council on Wednesday. The yellow buildings are all proposed housing units, while most of the blue buildings lower center are the existing buildings.

KAPA‘A — Officials are closing in on a final master plan for Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital and the surrounding areas, which will include a new library, police substation and hundreds of units of housing.
