That is just one of several big community events being presented by the Rice Street Business Association (the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market is next Saturday following the daytime Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation football games!) that will present the Kaua‘i Veterans Day Parade and Vidinha Stadium Soccer Fields entertainment, Nov. 5 starting at 9 a.m. The traditional event honoring the military personnel of all branches of the Armed Forces is getting help from the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority and the Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau.
Registration has already started for the return of the Lights on Rice Holiday Parade that is presented by the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i (they’ve got the Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run coming up, Nov. 12 at the Anne Knudsen Park! And, there is only until Oct. 3 to register for the early discounts for Lihu‘e Feast community dinner and fun at Alakoko Shop (they’re on Kress Street where the Ha Coffee bus is parked) where local artists will present different public art and placemaking projects in the planning stages as part of the Lihu‘e Placemaking, Forestry and Gardens Initiative.” Dinner is by Backyard to Mesa.
