Abie said Bethany and the Mo‘olelo Murals artists host learning classes on the third Wednesday of the month as a Mo‘olelo Murals fundraiser in the space between Robert’s and the former Kaua‘i Realty buildings on Kress Street in Lihu‘e (where the butterfly wings from the Friday Night Art project are displayed).
Alakoko Store, of course, will be open Saturday for the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market on Kress Street, where Donya McKnight of Little McFarm will be vending her line of concrete-based planters. Donya, who makes her appearance on the Sunday plant swap (where daughter Kylie Kuhlmann — Kylie played soccer for Kaua‘i High School about 10 years ago — was visiting from O‘ahu on Sunday), is looking forward to learning more about Precious Plastics and the possible use of some recycled plastics to enhance her concrete for the planters.
Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery (they’re still not open from the COVID-19 pandemic), in partnership with select public libraries, will be offering specially created, marine-debris-themed, free, grab-and-go ocean learning kits to help launch spring break at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
OK, go check out the Sunshine Market at Kapa‘a Beach Park, and the pop-up farmers’ market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula. There’re lots of women business owners to wish happy International Women’s Day to.
