KAPA‘A — Those interested in learning more about protecting the future of forests can tune in today for the second installment of the Forest Fridays series.
Hosted by the Kaua‘i Invasive Species Committee and the Kaua‘i Forest Bird Recovery Project, the virtual event starts at 4 p.m.
It features panelists Haylin Chock of KISC, Andre Raine representing Archipelago Research and Conservation, and Dustin Wolkis with National Tropical Botanical Garden.
The event is free of charge, open to the public, and will address the question: “How do we protect our forests for our children’s future?”
This is a unique opportunity to discover what is happening in the forest with regards to conservation, research and cultural practices.
People are encouraged to participate in the conversation by submitting questions and discussion points before and during the event.
Anyone with an interest is welcome to join the conversation by attending the Zoom presentation or launching the KISC or KFBRP Facebook pages. For the Zoom link, email saveohia@hawaii.edu.
