LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i County Housing Agency, in partnership with the Kaua‘i District Health Office, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i, Women in Need, Ho‘ola Lahui, Project Vision, Kaua’i Economic Opportunity and Hale ‘Opio, will be providing outreach services to houseless individuals and families in Lihu‘e on Friday, Sept. 18.
LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i County Housing Agency, in partnership with the Kaua‘i District Health Office, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i, Women in Need, Ho‘ola Lahui, Project Vision, Kaua’i Economic Opportunity and Hale ‘Opio, will be providing outreach services to houseless individuals and families in Lihu‘e on Friday, Sept. 18.
“The primary goal of this planned outreach will be to connect people with housing assistance programs, including identifying prospective tenants for Kealaula on Pua Loke – the county’s new permanent supportive housing project in Lihu‘e,” Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami said in a press release. “Additional services include Medquest/EBT signup, hygiene items, resource cards and service information.”
The schedule for this central outreach is Friday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon across from the Lihu‘e Civic Center in the park fronting the Historic County Building.
Officials will be wearing face coverings and physical distancing measures will be observed. Officials ask participants to wear face coverings over their noses and mouths.
