ANAHOLA — The Department of Public Works and DMK and Associates will continue pavement preservation measures slated for earlier this summer in Anahola on weekdays, weather permitting, on Hokualele Road (makai of Kuhio Hwy to end), Kamalomaloo Place, and Malama Aina Place.
Due to weather delays, work will resume in the area today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The roadwork was initially scheduled for June 29 through July 10.
There will be no road closures at this time, but the county advises motorists to exercise caution when driving to ensure the safety of everyone. Be on the lookout for “No Parking” and or “Road Closed” barricades and signs. This will be an indication that work is in the area.
Vehicle parking will not be allowed in the work zone after 7:30 a.m. Any vehicle left on the street or grassy road shoulders within the work zones after 7:30 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. Work may be extended pending weather conditions.
