Taking a breath from the Saturday craziness, the sun paints Kuhio Highway ahead of a weather system that has forecasters calling for deteriorating conditions and the threat of heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash flooding starting Sunday night and lasting through Tuesday.

Gutsy Okada comes off the Zumba line following his Saturday morning workout during the third community health fair coordinated by Waimea High School health academy students at Waimea High School’s athletic field on campus.

Coach Natalie Mata should’ve had some of those good-luck succulents with the Menehune girls when they traveled to the state girls’ basketball tournament last month. Coach Natalie was among the volunteers helping coach Keiko Sagawa-Pananganan (bowling’s going to be here before you know it) and the Menehune health academy coordinate the third Waimea health fair for the community. Great job keeping activities out there to distract from all the toilet paper, sanitizer madness!
