LIHUE — The Rice Street revitalization project is the topic of the Lihue Business Association meeting Thursday, Oct. 24, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Duke’s Canoe Club on Kalapaki Beach.
This discussion will include area property owners and entrepreneurs speaking on their own activities, and LBA welcomes business and property owners, managers, employees and residents to also share their thoughts.
The LBA has advocated for the county’s Rice Street revitalization plan, funded in part by a federal Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
Another racket to secure union votes.
This is just like the bike path and the other street that has bushes that create blind spots, trees under electrical wires (fire hazard), more criss walks per square ft than MY city, and costs the county more $$$$$ yo have it cleaned on the weekend by family and friends of the former all you can eat tax payer monies Mayor.
Rice street has been dead since Foodland, Big Save, Dairy Queen, and Gems left.
They should have used the money for Hanapepe businesses.
Mismanagement of public funds like the county pays the people to use the roads and services for a marathon and pays them hundreds of thousands of dollars. They’ve made millions off of the Kauai tax payers for a one day event.
Pimping Kauai is easy money for the mainlanders. County of Kauai has to go back to school and learn then some.
