Sandy Poehnelt (no painted rocks, again?) was busy getting some cake from Skull Sugar because she said she only bakes pies for The Right Slice, and Patrice Pendarvis was relishing the music from one of three stations offering live music between her artwork and blooming potted orchids.
Jose Bulatao (do you remember when the founders of Puka Dog vended hot dogs from a cart under that Kekaha mango tree using specially-created buns from Travelers Den?) was satisfied after finding fresh mountain apples (yes, they have fresh fruit and vegetable vendors, too!) and enjoying the live music from his ohana, and Shay Jim had her Keoki’s Paradise crew (nice to see Manette DeCosta come out from the back) offering their aromatic Keoki’s fresh ahi poke (and Maile Shklov’s jewelry) near another of the music stations.
With the variety of vendors offering everything from henna to floral petal and resin creations, Melissia Sugai was checking for additions to the Kauai Made program.
The Village Market runs from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
