Waimea of the Kauai Interscholastic Federation lost to No. 3 seed Kalani of the Oahu Interscholastic Association, 6-3, on Wednesday at McKinley High School in Honolulu.
Waimea will play Honokaa of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation in a consolation game at 4 p.m. today at McKinley High School.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, Waimea defeated Waialua of the OIA, 15-5, in the quarterfinals Tuesday evening at McKinley.
Also from the KIF, No. 1 seed Kapaa played Konawaena of the BIIF in the quarterfinals Wednesday evening at McKinley High. Result of the Kapaa-Konawaena game was not available by press time.
