March is Solar Month (and spring break), and James Merritt of the Kauai Education Association for Science and Astronomy (they got a new spot near Regis Salon at Kukui Grove Center) said they will be doing science at the mall (how many of you got those free solar energy kits?) twice for those who are on spring break (who knew Kauai Community College had one too?).

Congratulations to Yu Hui Hsu and his ohana on opening House of Handicrafts Thursday! His new store at Kukui Grove joins the one he has at the Harbor Mall, and who else is scheduled to open next week in time for Prince Kuhio Day?

Takase of DejaVu Surf Hawaii for being so creative that they had the social media Easter thingie set up in time for the sidewalk sale (it will happen next week because of spring break, too!), and Brenda Biheler of Showtime Characters was getting her Easter photo booth set up for this week’s spring break. Melissa McFerrin-Warrack said some of the pop-ups are coming back to the mall in time for spring break, Prince Kuhio Day and Easter, too!
OK, time to go check out Kauai Lynx basketball coach Clarence Sales and his basketball clinic at Kauai High School … and, Manny Henriques said IF they can drain out some of that water at the Wailua Moto Cross Track, there’ll be motorcycle races.
