Conchita DeCostaConchita “Connie” Tabac DeCosta of Waimea died March 20,

2000, at her home in Waimea at the age of 59.

A retired LPN nurse for

Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital, she was born May 24, 1940, in Paauhau, Hilo,

HI.

She is survived by her husband: Francis “Cucu” DeCosta, Sr. of Waimea;

six daughters: Tammy (Teddy) Perreira of Kekaha, Helena (Malcolm) Oyamot of

Kapaa, Stanette (Melvin) Kua of Waimea, Kim (Keala) Lanning of Kekaha, Katie

DeCosta of Honolulu, and Manette DeCosta of Koloa; one son: Francis (Lillian)

DeCosta, Jr. of Waimea; four brothers: Simplicio (Demie) Tabac of Honokaa,

Amador Tabac of Paauhau, James (Sally) Tabac of Honolulu and Ernest (Harriet)

Tabac of Paauilo; five sisters: Erminia (Alan) Villa of Honolulu, Rosita Ebreo

of Paauilo, Betty Tabac of Kauai, Anita (Jim) Powers of Honokaa and Marina

(Nelson) Silva of Hanama’ulu; 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren,

numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family may call on

Saturday, March 25, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

where services will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai

Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are

being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Masami Shinseki

Masami

Shinseki of Honolulu died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Kuakini Medical Cener, at

the age of 83.

Born in Lihue, Kaua’i on May 8, 1916, he was a retired

supervisor for the Lihu’e Plantation Co.

He is survived by his sons,

Francis (Jeanne) Shinseki and Alan (Jean) Shinseki; daughters, April (Fred)

Takashima and Anne (Edward) Yamada; nine grandchildren, six great-grandsons;

sisters-in-law, Fudeko Shinseki, Chizuko Shinseki and Fujie Shinseki, all of

Lihu’e.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at

the Lihu’e Hongwanji Mission, with service at 4:30 p.m. The family requests

that flowers be omitted and suggests casual attire.

Hosoi Garden Mortuary
