Doug Rasmussen of Koloa and Janis Kimata-Lopez of Kamakani were the first place male and female finishers for the 7th annual St. Theresa’s Sunset Run held on March 4th 2000. Both were repeat winners from 1999 and were awarded the

male and female finishers for the 7th annual St. Theresa’s Sunset Run held on
March 4th 2000. Both were repeat winners from 1999 and were awarded the
Mayor’s and Council Trophies respectively. A field of 46 runners
participated. The runners this year were from all over Kauai and the states of
Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, Texas, and Georgia.
The St. Theresa’s run has
been held as part of the St. Theresa’s Carnival since 1994 and has been
organized every year by John Glover and his son Clay of Kalaheo.
